Fresh 48 or Newborn Session?
What is best for you?
Truthfully, most clients do both.
Fresh 48 sessions are typically held in the first 48 hours that baby is born.
I usually come the next day after you deliver.
Fresh 48 sessions are are very laid back and meant to look natural and organic.
There aren't any newborn "poses" at Fresh 48's.
We'll swaddle baby but for the most part we're trying to capture the hospital experience.
That means keeping it simple with hospital blankets, hospital shirts, minimal outfit changes, etc.
Traditional newborn sessions are held within the first 7-9 days that baby is born.
Usually these are done before baby is 12 days old.
If you like the "perfect" look of baby poses with matching backdrops and swaddles, regular newborn sessions are meant for you.
Believe it or not, the way that your baby looks will change from when your in the hospital to the time it takes to reach a traditional newborn session.
I think this is why it's such a great idea that parents choose to do both sessions.
The whirlwind of the hospital setting rushes by so quickly.
I really wish that I would have had this documented for myself!
